About the Artist
Emily Paz Camacho is a self taught interdisciplinary artist born and raised in the Sonoran desert of Arizona. Her deep desire for creative expression inspires her to take on various mediums of art and weave it with her fascination of the human experience and our relationship with mother earth, our selves and the collective. Liberating herself from fitting into boxes, she honors her ability to create with any form of art that is calling to her, trusting in her intuition while also utilizing concepts she learned while getting her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance, in order to create pieces that embody a strong sense of diversity, authenticity and love.
Emily’s role as a mother is another sacred element in her artwork. She aims to highlight women’s experiences especially as they navigate the vortexes of motherhood and sisterhood. Mothering has allowed her to discover the intersection between the birth and rebirth in all creations, art and life alike and what it means to be a child of earth. She hopes to connect with people from all walks of life and create magic that deepens our connection to ourselves, our passions, nature and beyond.
Emily’s primary tools include but are not limited to, her camera, clay, fabric, paint and embroidery.
